Estate Planning
Steward God’s Provision Wisely
Only God knows your future, but smart financial planning can make it a little less “uncertain.” Creating an estate plan is an important step in the process, and it’s one of the best ways to protect you and your family while also leaving a meaningful gift to ministry at your passing.
The 4 basic building blocks of an estate plan are:
- Last Will & Testament
- Durable Power of Attorney for Financial
- Durable Power dof Attorney for Healthcare
- Advance Directive for Healthcare

Give assets like a life insurance policy or retirement plan to ministry after your passing.
Charitable Giving Testimonial
I decided that the best vehicle for me was a Charitable Remainder Trust (CRT). By using a CRT, I could donate some highly appreciated stock and not pay any capital gains taxes, get a contribution tax deduction, and get a guaranteed income for life. I could then support the Christian charities of my choice with the endowment that remained until Jesus comes again.
I also set up a “Donor Advised Fund” (DAF). With this fund I can make a current gift and then decide periodically what Christian charity I want to make a gift to.

Scholarship Testimonials
I am so grateful and honored and want to say thank you for your generosity – your scholarship will help me to achieve my educational and ministry goals. It will help me have more time for studies, family, and ministry in the church and the church.

My family and I are continually amazed at how God has provided for us during this season of life. Certainly, receiving this year’s BFI Scholarship is evidence of God’s providential care. In covering a significant portion of this year’s tuition, I am able to continue pursuing my call to church ministry without the fear of placing school on “pause” to save the necessary funds.

My special thanks to [scholarship] donors. You are a channel of blessing. With your obedience to give financial offerings to God, the ministry that God has called me into will be made possible. Please remember that you are always part of the ministry.
